Academic Program Structure

St. Thomas College offers a structured and progressive academic curriculum from Pre-Nursery to Class XII, affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. The curriculum is aligned with national standards and designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning.

Pre-Primary Section

The Pre-Nursery and Kindergarten programs focus on foundational skills including language development, basic numeracy, motor skills, and social interaction. The approach is child-centric, combining learning with play to support holistic growth.

Primary and Middle School (Class I – VIII)

This stage builds upon core subjects such as English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Emphasis is placed on conceptual clarity, project-based learning, and the integration of value education, art, computer science, and general awareness.

Secondary Section (Class IX – X)

At the ICSE level, students pursue a broad curriculum including English, second language, Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), History & Civics, Geography or Computer Applications. The program prepares students for board exams while encouraging independent learning and analytical skills.

Senior Secondary Section (Class XI – XII)

The ISC program offers two academic streams—Science and Commerce. Students choose their subjects based on interest and career aspirations. The curriculum is rigorous and supported by qualified faculty, laboratory work, research assignments, and career guidance.

Assessment and Progress Monitoring

Continuous assessment, internal tests, and terminal exams are conducted throughout the academic year. Emphasis is placed on both scholastic and co-scholastic development to ensure balanced growth and preparedness for competitive environments.

Curriculum Enrichment

The academic program is complemented by co-curricular activities, inter-school competitions, Olympiads, and value-based education. The college aims to develop well-rounded individuals equipped with academic knowledge, moral values, and practical life skills.
