Know About College

St. Thomas College is a Christian Minority Institution established and administered by ‘THE CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF LUCKNOW,’ a religious and charitable society engaged in Educational, Medical, and Social Work in Ten Districts of U.P. and is registered under the Registration of Societies Act No. XXI of 1860.

The College is located in Shantinagar/Sarojininagar (Amausi), Lucknow. The imposing structure, spacious, well-ventilated, neat and tidy, and its well-maintained compound all-around adds to the atmosphere of education, dedication, and discipline. Adequate and spacious rooms are provided for teaching and for co-curricular activities.

The College was founded in 1975 under the patronage of St. Thomas with the object of imparting quality education to Catholic Students in a manner that will conserve their ‘religion, language & culture.’ Admission is also open to all irrespective of caste, creed, and religion. The College is an unaided minority, co-educational institution where girls and boys grow up together in a healthy atmosphere of equality and mutual respect. Classes are conducted from L.K.G. (Nursery) to Class XII and is affiliated to the ICSE/ISC Board, New Delhi.

The medium of instruction is English, but equal importance is given to Hindi and Sanskrit, the languages of our nation and cultural heritage.
